If you’re the kind of person who follows this group’s activities, or just the kind of person who can scroll down to the next post on this page and compare dates, you might have noticed that we haven’t released any manga in over 4 months. The basic explanation for this is that our fearless leader, MaxLemon, no longer has the spare time nor the motivation to administer or consistently work on our projects. As a result, we have a lack of typesetters, no real cleaner whatsoever, no one to recruit new members, and no one to tell anyone what to do – we’ve been rather aimless for the past few months. So, in order to get things moving again, we’ve made some changes:
1) “Again!” is no longer a joint project. I (Mirrormn) am still translating it, but otherwise it’s completely under the control of Village Idiot Scans now. And actually, we just released a chapter of it a couple weeks ago, so be sure to check that out if you’re into Again!
2) “Grisaia no Kajitsu: Sanctuary Fellows” is on permanent hiatus. Or “dropped”, if you prefer. We may return to it in the distant future if no one else picks it up, but for now, neither MaxLemon nor I care about it enough to put effort into it.
3) “Grisaia no Kajitsu: L’Oiseau Bleu” is something we want to hang onto, but it’s going to be dependent on MaxLemon’s schedule, which means I can’t make any guarantees about it being released in a timely fashion. If you’re particularly vexed by this, and really want to offer your cleaning/typesetting services to the cause to help speed it up, get in contact with me.
4) We no longer have any plans to pick up “Asahinagu”.
5) I will be handling “Omaera Zenin Mendokusai!” myself. I’ve already been in charge of translating it, but I will now also be cleaning it, and typesetting it if necessary (Tenchou, the typesetter of previous chapters, is dealing with a lot of crazy school and real life stuff at the moment, but he may return later).
Now, if you scroll back down the page a bit, you may notice that a lot of the posts contain broken promises like “various chapters will be released soon”, “we will release this series weekly until it’s done”, and “we’re going to relax our standards to get things out faster”. Well, I’m happy to announce that this will not be another post of broken promises. Instead, it will be a post of delivered non-promises, because we have five whole chapters of “Omaera Zenin Mendokusai” for you right now!
You can find direct downloads in our Manga Releases section, read online over at Batoto, or grab the chapters in irc using the triggers !omaera20.5, !omaera21, !omaera22, !omaera23, and !omaera24. A torrent of the whole volume will be available when chapter 25 releases in a few weeks.

P.S. – I also have a (non-H [mostly]) Madoka Magica doujin called Uyunise that I’ve been dying to release for several months now. It’s fully translated and half-typeset, but it’s got redraws that are simply too difficult for me to handle. If you’re a Madoka fan and a bad-ass cleaner/redrawer who wants to help out, hit me up.

And you may think, “does that mean we can have a full Blu-ray batch?” The answer is, of course, yes. All episodes together, and episodes 1-4 re-encoded with the same settings as the subsequent volumes (10-bit instead of 8-bit). But not only that, you also get Blu-ray extras! What kind of extras? These kind of extras:
I’ve been particularly enjoying the soundtrack, which I was listening to while working on this release. The creditless OP/EDs and sketches are pretty cool too. The sketch clips themselves are actually a bit of a callback to the Nagato Yuki-chan manga, which would have small & humorous rough sketches by Puyo in between chapters, and I was kind of sad that for the TV broadcast episodes, I had to keep cutting them out. Being able to include them without the sponsor message overlays, here at the very end, is kind of like icing on the cake.

P.S.: In other news, I’m building up a backlog of translated manga chapters. Several chapters of L’Oiseau Bleu, several chapters of Omaera Zenin Mendokusai, and I’ve taken over translation duties for Sanctuary Fellows as well, which will hopefully put an end to its 8 month dry spell. All these things should be coming to you as soon and MaxLemon and the others can find time to clean and typeset them.
The plan now is to release weekly until we finish, which is chapter 19.
